My name is Marcel and I graduated as a physical therapist from the University of Leiden in 2009. During my early days, I treated many patients with neck and back pain. Then I began to focus more and more on complaints of the shoulders and legs, which brought me more into contact with athletes. This also created an increasing interest in treating athletes. So in 2019, I will be graduating from the master of sports physical therapy in Amersfoort. Recently, I have had the opportunity to treat many athletes of different levels: from independently running a bit to winning a medal at a World Cup.

In addition to my work in practice, I teach 3 days at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam in the physical therapy program.

My goal is to work with patients to explore where the symptoms are coming from and then come up with a targeted plan to get rid of your symptoms, but preferably stay rid of symptoms.

I come from athletics and soccer myself, where I ran at a competitive level with a focus on road athletics.
